Hello,
In your AsRock unit you can't directly input the vcore voltage, only set it as an offset. If you aim for a vcore of 1.3 V, what offset would that be?
I own an Asrock z170A-X1/3.1 MB. I'm working on a gentle 4.3 GHz overclock.
Are there any other adjustments in the BIOS I should consider? The AsRock BIOS seems tricky to understand.
Also, after previous attempts, I received four short beeps from my motherboard.

on my AsRock I can apply fixed or offset voltage, but I'm not sure if it's consistent across all Z170 boards. For the 4.3GHz model, I don't even need to adjust the voltage—I just need 1.34V for 4.7GHz. Check the AsRock Formula Drive OC tweaker section to see if fixed voltage is an option. Even though I'm not a big fan of software overclocking, you can still do it in the Formula Drive software if you prefer. However, if you opt for software overclocking, make sure to test the voltage under load, as some programs automatically increase it.

mcnumpty23 :
on my asrock i can use fixed or offset voltage dont know if its the same for all asrock z170 boards though
and for 4.3ghz on my 6600k it doesnt even need me to touch the voltage
i only need 1.34v for 4.7ghz
look in asrock formula drive oc tweaker section to see if you can set a fixed voltage
and though not a fan of software overclocking you can also do that in formula drive software if you want
but if you choose to software overclock just check what voltage you get under load as some software auto overclocking gets generous with the voltage
I can't seem to find where to change that option. Decided to try out the Asrock Tuning utility. Set CPU Ratio to 43. and CPU Cache ratio to 40 and Prime95 max temp is 65c on one core. Am I good to go if this is all I want for OC?
And Max cpu voltage it gives is 1.27
