overclocking 6600k vcore help
Hello, I own a 6600k with a stable 4.4 ghz OC at 1.25v, but I noticed many people use adaptive mode to reduce the Vcore during idle or basic browsing. Since my motherboard doesn't support this feature, my question is: Is running 4.4ghz at 1.25v while idle actually harmful? Thanks for your help.
1.25 is an ideal voltage level. I wouldn't exceed 1.35V on Skylake. 1.4 is the upper limit, but it's not advised for regular use.
Nope, that's a good level for your v-core, you've got a good chip.
