I only adjusted the curve to -20 and set the pbo limit to motherboard. It’s good that it hits 4.9ghz, but the idle temperature stays high. Previously, with D15 I kept around 50-55°C at idle—now I’d like a cooler idle and a bit more OC performance. The voltage reading of 1.487V seems normal for me.

I saw what cinebench 20 showed me and hit 90°C consistently throughout. The score jumped from 7737 to 8414 across all cores, but the temperature stayed steady at 90°C. All processors ran up to 4.4GHz, with a peak of 4.1GHz during the test—never went above 80°C. Need some guidance.

It's a large processor. It handles heavy loads without any issues. All the data appears correct. How's the room temperature during summer?

Have you attempted to upgrade the BIOS to the newest non-Beta version? AMD Ryzen 5000 series chips often run at idle temperatures higher than typical because they draw greater voltage, which generates additional warmth. The peak voltage seems a bit excessive for optimal performance.

The board is a TUF X570 with Wi-Fi support. It’s a powerful CPU, but it shouldn’t be sitting idle at 55°C even when the room is hot.

However, this time it hit 90°C during testing. Before adjusting, it stayed between 50-55°C while idling and never reached 80°C during peak load. It mostly held around 76°C under heavy load.

It's typical for these premium AMD chips to run cooler when they're not in use. Since we already have your current idle temperatures, removing the side panel might not help much. These components tend to generate more heat when active, so it's unlikely to make a noticeable difference.
