Hey everyone, sorry I'm not very skilled with overclocking. However, I managed to boost my Core I7 7700k to 4.9 GHz, and when it's running on Cinebench R15 it reaches a max package temperature of 91°C. My score is around 950, while others are getting well over 1000 using the same cooler. Also, CPUID HWMonitor shows all cores at 4915 MHz during the test. Thanks for the advice!

Did you stop all extra background tasks? Hyper 212 isn't sufficient for a 4.9GHz OC on a 7700K. 91C is too warm for Cinebench. Running Prime95 might cause overheating and speed reduction.

The same issue occurred with my 8700k as well—it requires a higher voltage, which is currently limited to about 2.6 to 3 volts, and exceeding that could cause damage.

The same issue occurred with me on my 8700k. You must raise the voltage, as it's limiting performance. It's around 2.6 to 3 volts, but not higher—anything above that could cause damage or fry it. A 2.6 volt setting would destroy the CPU. Avoid exceeding 1.4V with this model; even at 1.4V it will overheat and become hazardous with a Hyper 212.
