Hey there, I've managed to push my CPU up to 4.5GHz at 1.25v. During benchmark tests like Cinebench and Intel XTU stress test, it runs smoothly at that speed. However, when I start games such as Cold War, the core clock drops back to its default at 3.7GHz and XTU reports "Power Limit Throttling: Yes." I'm not sure why this happens, but I'm hoping to eventually reach 5.0GHz for smoother gaming. My setup includes an i5 9600k CPU, a Gigabyte Gaming X Trio 3080 with 32GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz, a Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi motherboard, an 850W EVGA Gold PSU, and I'm looking forward to more powerful overclocking.

Several members are facing the same issue today. Have you recently updated your BIOS or applied any other patches? One individual used ThrottleStop to restrict turbo power, which blocks any other software from adjusting this setting. The power limit restriction stems from turbo limits being set too low. This appears to be a BIOS issue or software interference. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threa...-9.276365/ Intel XTU doesn't support the Lock option, so avoid using it.
