I struggle to raise my GPU above +100Mhz. Yet I noticed someone facing similar issues, and a participant in the discussion suggested using two cables with 2x6/8 instead of one with 2x6/8. Is that correct?

Hi anthonyajax1995,
Remember never to use a splitter. If you have two PCI cables, use them and the issue should be resolved.
The situation here means you're asking for a single PCI line to simulate two lines, which is:
1°/ completely impossible
2°/ extremely dangerous!! Your power supply could catch fire!!
Rodolphe.
