I have my issue, I bought it a week ago with 7600k. Yesterday I tried to boost it, but I just want to find out what’s happening. I set the multiplex to 44 at start, and nothing happened. The PC runs normally. AIsuite shows 100x44 bios, but the CPU doesn’t go higher than default speeds—4200 turbo, 4000 in stress—and after two hours of the fight it failed. No matter what I do or change in BIOS or software, the CPU isn’t going faster. I can set 100x60 and it shows it’s done, but nothing actually happens. Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://megawrzuta.pl/download/eea89b208...2ea38.html It might be that the CPU is locked or broken. I’m thinking about taking it to the shop for warranty, but it’s only two weeks since the purchase...

It's unlikely, but check if your BIOS is current.

Probably not the situation, but check if your BIOS is current.
Updated bios should be the first option with compatible CPU, after that the latest one, but I'm not sure. Sorry for the English.

OMG it works! Asus provides 3 BIOS versions for Z170 Pro gaming with 7600k support. I tried the last one before, and it performed perfectly. After just 2 minutes, I reached 5000MHz at 100x50 with 1.375V. Using an air cooler helped—only a short 10-second success test until the temperature rose above 80°C. I left it at 4500, which seems safe. Thanks for your advice! But why was one of the three theoretically good BIOS versions effective...? Knock knock Asus!!!
