Overclock i7 3770k to 6.3GHz
Overclock i7 3770k to 6.3GHz
I'm managing a 3770k at 6.3ghz overclock without any liquid cooling. I'm using the MSI Z77A-GD55 with a no-paste pad and just one CPU fan that runs on deep cool. The issue started after I noticed it, but everything seems fine. My system draws around 500w. While CPU-Z doesn't display it, BIOS, Windows 11, and Task Manager do. Most programs are showing the stats, but I'm unsure what to do next. I want to document this thoroughly.
It means the software isn't detecting or recognizing the hardware component.
These applications are experiencing issues, but you don’t need to be concerned. Are you currently running an overclock or maintaining the default settings?
I'm testing an overclock. It's working well. Temperature remains acceptable. Usually stays below 37°C.
You're referring to a discussion about CPU-Z not detecting its own status. It seems you were looking for an alternative tool to monitor overclocking and thought HWiNFO64 would be better. You mentioned sharing this on another forum and hoping someone like Linus might notice. Let me know if you'd like help with anything else!
The "turbo max" figure in HwInfo properties isn't a guarantee of reaching it. Check the real timestamps from the sensor logs.
It remained steady at 3,431.9 across all four cores without any changes.
