I increased my GTX 960's overclock settings and it functioned flawlessly, delivering a significant FPS increase across all games. When I started playing today, the performance felt normal again. Anyone know why this happened?

Overclocking usually boosts performance by 10-20%, but it's hard to tell if it was done or not. If your software reports lower FPS than before, the GPU might be overheating or the OC settings might have been reset to defaults.
