Hi,
I bought an ASUS X99-WS with IPMI because I wanted remote management capabilities.
My system has a Xeon E5-2695 V3 processor running at 2.3 GHz with a powerful dual fan setup.
The case is also well-ventilated.
I have a Kingston KVR21R15D8K4/32 RAM kit, 32 GB, 2133 MHz, DDR4, ECC, 15-pin DIMM (4x8 GB), 288 pins.
I plan to run demanding computing software and consider overclocking the CPU and RAM if it makes sense.
To be honest, I haven’t done it before, and it seems the AI 3 suite from ASUS isn’t included on this board. I tried downloading and installing it but it didn’t work.
I’m aware it’s a straightforward starting point.
What alternatives should I consider? I’ve checked many BIOS settings, but despite being technically inclined, I haven’t overclocked any PC before.

You don't need to search for your exact motherboard. Consider checking other ASUS x99 models or some high-end ASUS Z97 variants. This will help you understand the BIOS options and their functions better.
If your overclocking queries aren't addressed in those resources, try looking up overclocking methods specifically (like adjusting BCLK) or return to Tom with more detailed questions about that topic.

The Xeon CPU cannot be overclocked using a multiplier setting. It can only be adjusted from the base clock (BCLK). There are many guides available for overclocking with your motherboard, especially those targeting ASUS models, and you should focus on the BCLK sections to achieve an OC. Additionally, explore general discussions about BCLK overclocking to better understand the process. The main point is that you won’t be able to use an app for CPU overclocking.

I searched online but found very little information available. The Asus manual doesn't seem very useful. Do you believe there might be a guide out there? I wasn't able to locate one.
