Hello everyone, I’m really struggling and not sure what else to try. I’m trying to pinpoint the problem to the MOBO section. Here’s what happened:

- Started with minor issues: drivers for CPU and GPU disappeared or weren’t detected at all, but a reboot fixed it.
- USB ports became unrecognized and then worked again after a few seconds.
- PCI bus would reinstall every time I restarted, though the PC would function normally afterward (sometimes with problems).
- Now I get an error saying “USB over current detected,” which causes the system to shut down after 15 seconds.

It began randomly, even though I used the computer the night before. It happens without warning sometimes.

I’ve tried disconnecting USB connections, removing all peripherals, checking ports under high power, inspecting connectors, taking everything out, and even resetting CMOS and changing the battery. I flashed the BIOS, updated the BIOS from MSI, used a known PSU, and tested with another PC.

I’m still trying to figure out what’s wrong and need your help. If you have any photos or more details, please let me know!

Despite my doubts about PSU, I believe you didn’t overlook any hardware issues. Would the motherboard still qualify for warranty service if it needs to be returned for replacement? This seems like a faulty or damaged board.

Not covered under warranty means I’d need to purchase a replacement, which makes me want to verify it’s the correct Mobo before buying anything else. I’m not very confident in this PSU either and will likely opt for a better one with a proper Mobo. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Good options with 80Plus Bronze or higher ratings are expected to perform well, though EVGA and Seasonic are highly respected among users. You might find a current tier list on forums, even if it looks outdated.

Thanks for your assistance. I decided to purchase a new motherboard, which fixed the issue. I chose a higher-quality one that should last longer (MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus). I also upgraded the power supply to an MSI MAG A650BN 650W 80 PLUS Bronze due to cost limitations. Appreciate your help again!

You're curious about a strange behavior you're seeing now. Even after updating your graphics card, debugging still triggers VGA output and then launches the game each time. It runs fast and shows up on the screen through the GPU, but it's different from before. What might be causing this?
