So I thought about performing a simple overclock on my 8320, but I noticed that the clock speed shown in CPU-Z changes when I'm idle—ranging from 1404mhz to 4012mhz. Is this typical?
I assumed it’s fine because I managed to keep the game running smoothly at 4012mhz and a max temperature of 51°C.

Yes, this variation is typical, as the CPU adjusts its performance to conserve energy while managing temperature.

Sure, I thought it might be related to a power-saving feature since it kept running at 50 degrees. Let me take a look! Thanks.
