You're facing an issue where your GPU isn't showing output, even though the AMD 5600G runs smoothly. It seems the integrated graphics are functioning, but the dedicated GPU isn't working properly. You might need to switch to using a dedicated GPU for testing. The fan noise suggests there could be a hardware or driver problem.

Occasionally the motherboard doesn't switch to the dGPU automatically. A BIOS setting should handle this. My previous AMD board required adjusting the BIOS to make the dGPU act as a display output. That worked on FM2, but not anymore.

Varies by board, but commonly referred to as "Primary Display Adapter." The Z170 OC Formula often gets called "Third Monitor iGPU." It's important to ensure the GPU is sending data once connected to an OS, even if it isn't the main display adapter.

It seems like the GPU is likely not working properly. Before selling, double-check its condition. The price difference from $450 to $150 shows it might be outdated or damaged. The B550 motherboard could also affect performance.

Brand takes precedence over the chipset because this is one of the aspects they actually manage to influence the naming. The phrase "Primary Display Adapter" stands out from my memory of the X570 Master, though it may vary depending on the board manufacturer. Which card are we talking about?

Ahh gotcha. It's a Powercolor RX6800.

It's disappointing that the card might not work. I thought about suggesting another BIOS version since some revisions don't fit certain cards (like the X570 Master needing a specific revision for a 1080 Ti). That shouldn’t be a problem with an RX 6000 series card.
