Windows magnifier works well, but the mouse doesn't respond properly when it's open. I have two cataracts in each eye, which should improve in about a month. I'm hoping my vision will get better soon.

I believe the Windows built-in magnifier works with your setup—whether docked, in full screen, or using a lens. I’m guessing the mouse or keyboard software might be causing the problem. The safest approach is to remove both, restart, and test again. Once it functions, reinstall the keyboard drivers and check if the issue persists. If not, another program might be interfering by adding an overlay. The zoom function relies on the GPU, and some overlay programs may mistakenly block it. Try closing all non-Windows apps first to see if the problem resolves. Another fix is adjusting Windows Display Scaling, which enlarges everything. Don’t forget to sign out and back in or restart after changes, as some applications won’t adapt at runtime and may appear blurry.

The scaling option for the display is usually found within the game settings or preferences menu.

Windows 10 → Settings > System > Display → "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" or Windows 11 → Settings > System > Display → Scale. Keep in mind not all titles support scaling, and newer releases may handle it independently of Windows controls. If unavailable, check online for game-specific configuration files to override settings.
