I prefer OS X more, but I rely on Windows every day because of gaming and my PC setup.

I own a Mac with OS X and a PC with Windows 10. I rely on the Mac for video encoding and rendering in C4D and Blender, among other tasks. My parents also depend on it for their job. I prefer Windows mainly because of better compatibility. If OS X matched Windows' compatibility, I’d buy the cheapest Mac Pro and install a 970 graphics card in it.

I've attempted to run OSX on several occasions but encountered significant issues. It doesn't offer the features I require from an operating system, and many functions are missing. I'm unable to use Sony Vegas, Razer Comms, or Manga Studio, and Plex isn't working properly. My favorite DirectX games aren't playable either. The customization options are limited, and playing DayZ is impossible even in a virtual environment.

valid point! That is partially why I plan on creating my own custom built PC, but hopefully when Metal is brought in OS X El Capitan more games will be compatible
