You recently installed an SSD and are trying to transfer your OS from an HDD. Most recommendations suggest using EasyUS to clone the HDD to the SSD after backing it up and wiping it clean. You transferred all Windows files successfully, but you're encountering issues accessing the OS on the SSD. When you disable the HDD and boot directly into the SSD, a warning appears about needing bootable media, even though Windows should be present. Someone can assist by clarifying whether your setup is complete or if additional steps are required.

Didn't need to clone from HDD to SSD following those steps. Should create a Linux USB and install it in LiveDesktop. Check if the SSD appears and its contents are visible. If successful, likely just needs a fresh bootloader setup.

If you're using only your operating system on that hard drive, why are you cloning? You shouldn't clone from an HDD to an SSD. Take the time for a thorough clean installation—it'll prevent many problems down the line.

I've already attempted a fresh setup, but it's not working. That's why I'm relying on cloning now.

Regardless of what I do, the drive always appears incorrectly formatted by the installer. I've tested every possible format, but none resolved the issue. The same problem occurred when I first installed Windows 10 on my HDD. I'm unsure how to fix it since I didn't make any special changes during installation. A few others I spoke to reported similar issues.

I experienced a similar issue before. I just installed Ubuntu on the drive for convenience and then added Windows directly on top. If you format the drive to NTFS—though I’m not sure about the exact steps for SSDs, as some methods might damage them—I can try installing Windows 10 from scratch. For more details, check this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-...stall.html

It's been a long day... I reformatted once more, repeating everything from the initial attempt, and the Win10 installer detected my SSD. It worked again, wonderfully. Thanks for your assistance—I'll save this for future Linux fixes if needed.

Backup and Clone are distinct processes. You didn't create a clone, but you can restore the image on an SSD via a boot disk before restarting the system. For more details, see the links provided.
