I opened Origin and saw a message about an EA app. There are two choices: install the EA app or learn more. I don't want to install it. How do I close this screen? Basically, how can I just go back to using Origin alone without that stuff? When I click "learn more," it goes to a website but doesn't cancel the message. Why is that happening? Thanks for helping me fix this!

There was a deadline when you had to switch apps, so why wait? You're already on the new one and it's exactly like the old app. I couldn't get rid of that annoying banner. I guess they made this way since there is a deadline for the changeover.

That kind of pushy marketing is the worst sort you can find.

It isn't actually forced because you can choose not to buy the service. Finding DLC for games on the store part is simpler and has some benefits, so that helps things out there.
