Origin app won't let me choose to NOT update to EA Launcher -- why ?
Opened Origin launcher and sees the message "The Ea ap is your new home pc gaming." There are two choices: install ea ap or learn more. I don’t want to install the EA app. How can I remove this screen? Just cancel it? So I can use the Origin app again only? When I click "learn more," it takes me to a website but doesn’t clear that EA screen. WHY???

There is a deadline for when you must switch to the new app. It might be better to do it now.
I'm currently using it and it's just as problematic as the original version.
I didn't find a way to remove the banner, so I assume they require it due to the upcoming change deadline.
It's not too much pressure because you can choose not to use the service.
From the store's perspective, it's simpler to handle, particularly when locating DLC for a game. That's a benefit.
