It's reasonable to note that Origin and uPlay lag significantly behind Steam in terms of player numbers and revenue. Relying on separate game clients is frustrating, especially for platform exclusives. Wouldn't it be better if these games were simply part of Steam instead of operating as distinct platforms?

It seems unlikely. In fact, I'm hoping Origin improves and gains more support.

if i were you, i wouldn't be on Steam. i'd opt for something different altogether—one with a vibrant community and great support.

Uplay seems more likely to yield, while EA with Origin appears unlikely to last.

Origin and Uplay were designed to compete directly with Steam, suggesting they may struggle to align with rivals. Steam thrives by offering alternatives.

I hope not. Strong customer service from EA is something Steam and Valve lack. They’re rivals, and rivalry is beneficial. If only one company existed, they’d likely increase prices and ignore the rest. Just thinking about what players would do.

Purchasing a Uplay game from Steam lets it launch within Uplay, eliminating any concerns about them halting it. Origin might adopt a comparable approach later, though I remain skeptical.

I really hope so, even though they receive a lot of attention, Valve is a somewhat questionable firm, and I wouldn’t wish to hold such a monopoly.

The only way they'd accept is if no one relied on their services. Without usage, they'd be compelled to adapt. I rely on Origin smoothly now—it's improved significantly and EA's support is excellent, though their titles need enhancement. Uplay is clearly poor quality, and their offerings are at a minimum. The client recently received a makeover, but it remains quite basic. If they discontinued it and focused solely on selling games without the client, I'd be more inclined to purchase them, though it's not worth the effort right now.
