This would also feature "pre-order exclusive content" – essentially promotional material not available in the regular game. I don't see much value in this approach. Neither is a follow-up to a popular series a sure sign of future success. Sim City, Diablo 3, Rome Total War are all known for their unstable launch titles.

It matters because you want certainty and reliability from Bioware or EA, especially since they’re not always seen as the most dependable developers. You need confidence they’ll deliver something valuable worth your investment. Why wait for the official release when you can secure a pre-order now?
