Orange LED indicator on ASUS TUF Z690 RAM module
I recently installed a new PC with an Intel 13600k, an ASUS TUF Z690 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 at 3200MHz, a 850W Gold PSU. During boot I noticed an orange RAM light. I’m wondering if a BIOS update is necessary for this setup, especially since I don’t have an older CPU to work with. I thought using USB in BIOS might help, but I’ve already tried entering BIOS myself without success. My concern is whether newer CPUs like this one require special fixes and if the issue lies with my current BIOS version rather than the hardware itself.
You can't access BIOS on a CPU without knowing its model. If the board doesn’t include BIOS flash, you’ll need a compatible CPU, typically the 12th generation. You should take it to a store that handles BIOS updates unless someone nearby has a 12th-gen processor.
