Hi, I understand you're using an OptiPlex 760 mini tower with a quad-core motherboard and a Q9650 CPU with 1333 FSB. You're trying to overclock it but can't increase the multiplier because it's locked. You're asking about the PLL value of the motherboard and the maximum FSB supported by this board for using 'SetFSB'. Are you correct that you can't raise the CPU's FSB higher than the motherboard's FSB?

Seriously? Well, ok. The CPU's clockspeed is FSB times the multiplier. Because your multiplier is fixed, you can only raise the FSB. Proceed to boost the FSB in 10Mhz steps, if possible. If you can't boot, it suggests you require more voltage, though I doubt this will work with this board—likely a maximum of about 10% increase. Remember, this could harm the CPU and/or motherboard, so ensure the CPU stays within safe temperatures. Here is a guide for 775 overclocking:

I'll check that out. I've downloaded set setfsb but my PLL isn't there. My model is SLG8XP519T. Four of the PLLs on the list work but aren't identical to mine, and I don't want to risk changing the FSB. Some show 77MHz increments as minimum, which seems a bit strange. Do you know what to do?
