Hi! I've come across many discussions about boosting an i5 3570k to keep up with newer chips, but when I built my system in 2012 I bought a GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3H motherboard. I didn't know it was limited for overclocking, unlike others who found solutions as early as 2013. Now I'm four years late and searching for a compatible board. Are there other options that support the 1155 socket and allow overclocking? Or should I plan to replace it with a Skylake model? Thanks!

They are excellent, I owned a Z77 Extreme 4 with 3570K and it remained a superb setup, sold it to a customer and it continues to run smoothly around the clock at 4.7

You might think about using a used motherboard or opt for Skylake... Haswell remains a solid option too.

Thanks for the update! I checked online and found that stores like Amazon are selling used boards at higher prices than the new 1151 models. The eBay listings seem quite unreliable. Disappointing, considering the i5 3570k is excellent, particularly given its overclocking potential.

Unfortunately I am in the US, but that's something I can go off of to narrow my search for a second-hand board. Thank you!
