Hey yall!
So I noticed when playing some GTAO that I cant seem to stay consistently above 100fps while in game, and I figured okay maybe its just because that is about the max my GPU can handle, but when I look at the monitoring software (HWM and AMD Wattman) that I dont seem to climb above 73 celsius and about 75% GPU utilization. to give perspective, Fallen order, RDR2, "Insert AAA title here" games usually crank up some heat and usage on the GPU. Just curious to see if anyone else has had this issue before or if there is any way to get some more frames in game?

I'm not sure where to locate all this in the Radeon settings, as they completely rewrote the program for "Adrenalin 2020". I apologize ahead of time, I should have noted that in those 80-100fps that I often get stuck in, every graphics setting defaults to "Normal". I can adjust most up to very high levels, and some even have an ultimate setting. At the end of the day, if I'm limited by the hardware, that's fine. But I wanted to share this with anyone else who might see something similar.
I believe GTAV tends to be more CPU-intensive, favoring higher clock speeds over more cores. It generally performs better on Intel systems compared to AMD ones. Especially in large lobbies or those with active modding communities, you might notice lower frame rates. In competitive environments where players are aggressive, it can lead to a challenging experience for both you and your machine. However, as long as the game runs smoothly without noticeable micro-stutters or significant frame drops, you shouldn't be too concerned.
It's definitely a fun experience! I wish they had character transfer working again so I could move my 1000+ hours from PS4 to PC. But they removed it in 2017. That makes sense, I'm still really happy with the game, though it's strange that every other title makes my reference 5700XT sound like an F-18 on a runway, while this one doesn't. But your explanation explains what I'm seeing, so thank you very much for the feedback.
