Hi Everyone, I'm looking for alternative websites besides pc-builds that offer a fairly reliable bottleneck calculator. I'm planning to upgrade my R5 2600 CPU and have it paired with an RTX 2060. The motherboard only supports up to a Ryzen 3000. The information says the R7 3700x limits the 2060's performance by 13-30% depending on the task. I'm wondering how accurate this is. Also, the site only lists the 8 GB Super version and a 12 GB version of the 2060. I used the 8 GB Super version and thought it was close enough. It feels like a bigger bottleneck than expected. Which board isn't compatible with the Ryzen 5000? It comes down to the specific game, settings, and resolution you're using.
The board model is a B450m MSI Pro V-DH, compatible only with Ryzen 3000 chips. Upgrading the CPU might be sensible if the 2060 can handle it. If the performance increase isn't enough, I'll wait about three years before replacing it. Please share your thoughts. Thanks for your reply.
