Hello! Here are your details rephrased:
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 20H2
Processor: Ryzen 7 3800X
Cooler: NZXT X62 Kraken
RAM: 32GB DDR4 at 3200Mhz
GPU: RTX 2080 Super
Model: Asus ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming
Over the past year, there have been many updates to BIOS and chipset, so I have a few questions I’d appreciate answers to. Should I use a special power plan for Windows to get better temperature and performance? Right now I’m using the Ryzen Balanced plan with the AMD chipset, but I’ve heard it’s fixed—does that work now? Or should I switch to a custom plan like 1usmus?
My idle temps range between 50-60°C and 70-80°C during gaming. I’ve read that lowering the CPU voltage can help, is this still valid? If so, what voltage should I set? Also, where can I find CPU voltage info? I see VDDCR listed but not a direct setting—should I adjust it?
Other BIOS tweaks to consider: turning off certain settings or leaving them enabled. There’s a lot of discussion online, which is making things confusing. Let me know if you need more clarity!
Thanks!

I'm running the Ryzen high-performance plan with the AMD chipset driver. For temperature monitoring, do you use Ryzen Master? It provides the most accurate readings, while other tools often add around +10°C.

I'm using AMD balanced and it's functioning well. I also adjust the voltage down because I prefer a cooler temperature and lower voltage. I do this through Ryzen Master with a cap on the maximum clock speed, which brings the boost clock down about 10%. This reduced power consumption by roughly 40% and lowered temperatures by around 10°C.

That's correct, Ryzen Masters is what you're referring to.
