Optimize your RAM performance for maximum efficiency.
A few weeks back I completed constructing my initial machine. I feel confident about the outcome and it has been operating well thus far. However, once I set everything up and installed all the necessary drivers, I noticed my DDR4 3000MHz RAM was only functioning at 2133MHz. I found it normal for lower speeds and thought it was a simple solution—just switch to the BIOS and adjust the XMP profile. After making that change and exiting the BIOS, the computer would crash upon startup, displaying the Windows blue screen about corruption. It also referenced voltage issues after checking the error code. I wasn’t sure what caused it, so I restarted and tried booting again, but it wouldn’t accept. Over several attempts to diagnose the problem, it eventually worked properly after a few restarts. Initially, I checked Task Manager and the BIOS, both indicating the RAM was back at 2133MHz. It was a stressful experience, so I decided to avoid diving into unfamiliar settings from now on. If you have any advice or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it. My build details are: Ryzen 5 2600 asRock B450M PRO4, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz. Thank you for your help.
