Hi, your Ryzen 5 5600X is a solid mid-range processor. Overclocking can boost performance, but it depends on your needs. Stock settings are usually fine for everyday tasks and casual gaming, while overclocking might help with demanding single-core workloads like Rust. If you're looking to push it for benchmarking, aim for higher frequencies cautiously—5GHz is common in videos but could strain the CPU if not stable. Balance stability and performance for your specific games.

No real benefit from pushing newer Ryzen processors beyond their limits.

I engage in games demanding powerful CPU performance, especially single-core speed which Rust typically handles smoothly.

You'll notice a decrease in performance across all overclocked cores versus what PBO achieves per core.

I watched it in a video, but I wasn't sure what it was.

Overclocking Ryzen isn't very practical, particularly for this purpose. Manual CPU tuning on Ryzen is limited only by CCX overclocking capabilities. Achieving high single-core speeds with manual overclocking rarely matches the stability and performance of PBO, which consistently delivers solid single-core results. Adjusting settings might give a slight boost, but it's usually minimal and not worth the effort. Clock stretching can raise frequencies, yet actual gains in performance are often negligible.

Yea, that thing. Spent to much time in the sun today, my brain is cooked.
