Your connection currently delivers around 250+ Mbps on average. With the MSI Z490-A Pro motherboard and a 2.5GbE link controller, you should be able to reach higher speeds. Using dual channels and Gigabit internet works well, but when streaming via Steam or downloading through Chrome, speeds drop significantly (30–80 Mbps). It seems routing issues or DNS auto-configuration might be the cause. Consider checking your network settings, ensuring proper port forwarding, and verifying that your ISP supports the full speed you’re aiming for.

According to @Sant_HH, the slow speeds you notice in Chrome are probably due to the server you're connecting to. The 37MB/s you see on Steam is impressive given the actual download rate of around 296MBps.

You've shared your experience with the server side of the issue. Both you and @paddy-stone mentioned performance improvements after adjusting settings like fiber mode, power saving, and speed. Your setup shows a peak of 310 Mbps, while downloading at 24 Mbps in Chrome. You're looking for further assistance to confirm what resolved the problem.
