Typically my online game ping is around 90-100ms, which is acceptable. However, I've noticed it drops significantly to 50-70 ms whenever the power goes out. I've tried everything to improve it without success. Also, since it's a laptop with no other devices on the network and I'm using 5GHz Wi-Fi, I'm not sure what's causing the issue.
When electricity failed, likely many devices in your area powered down, reducing the amount of data traffic on networking gear. This eased congestion, allowing your ISP to handle packets more efficiently. Alternatively, nearby wireless routers may have stopped working due to power loss, decreasing interference and improving signal quality for your own network. Adjusting your router’s settings to a less crowded channel can further enhance performance.
