Initial and maximum sizes should be set appropriately based on your needs. Fragmentation issues often arise when files split across sectors, especially with large or frequently used files like Steam games. Adjusting these values can help improve performance.

The swap file itself should never become fragmented. I put my swap space on a sepperate partition. What exactly is your question? Im sure piriform will have a place where you can report bugs.

Initial refers to the current state being used, while maximum indicates the highest capacity available. Both are set to 8 gigabytes, ensuring maximum usage at any time. This impacts performance because fragmentation happens when files are shifted around. I’m also confused about why defragmentation tools fragment files—shouldn’t they clean them up?
