I rely on Audio Switcher for seamless transitions between devices via the task bar or hotkeys. It functions flawlessly.

Tap the tiny speaker icon in the lower-right corner, choose Mixer, then select the dropdown under the main volume slider in the 'device' area. Now you can pick your desired audio output device.
