While engaging in games like MW2 and cyberpunk, I frequently encounter a problem where my normal fps jumps to around 165 but then abruptly drops to 45, capping at 30-35 fps. This has been happening for about a week now. I've tried disabling the Xbox game bar, but it didn't resolve the issue. It seems my PC is likely fine since I have a solid setup, so I'm unsure what's causing this problem.

If your PC performs well, let it shine a bit and share its details. I play a joke, but first you need to assist yourself by listing all the specifications. These details are crucial! Common steps include using DDU to uninstall graphics drivers and reinstall them, repositioning the graphics card, checking for any frame-limiter settings in-game or within graphics options (if possible), ensuring V-Sync is disabled, and confirming G/free-sync is active.

There might be issues with temperature or power. Make sure your readings are within range and you have sufficient power.

Consider checking the BIOS settings to see if any adjustments are affecting the hardware performance.

Guys, it looks like your CPU overheated and you applied fresh thermal paste. Now everything seems to be cooling down again. Thanks for the assistance!

The issue isn't the temperature. Your CPU was at 65 degrees while gaming, yet FPS caps were still affected. Restarting the game sometimes helps, but it keeps happening.
