Hello everyone, have you tried this PSU before?
XPG Core Reactor II VE, 80+ Gold, 850W
Would it work well?
It will be used with:
Motherboard: MSI Tomahawk B650 (or any suggestions from the community?)
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: MSI RTX 3070 X Trio (please don’t judge me for this, I know I was scammed, but at least let me survive)
RAM: Lexar DDR5 32GB
2 x NVMe SSD
1 x SATA SSD or 1 x HDD (depends on price because I plan to store all my videos and photos there)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool LE360 V2 Black
Case: AQIRYS Antlia ARGB Black
Any advice would be great, maybe to save some money or just to note in the future that I’ll upgrade my GPU later. But for now, I’m happy with this setup since I moved from a GTX 1650.

Good quality PSU. Nevertheless, even with its solid construction, it only includes a 7-year warranty. I’d like a 10-year warranty, but I suppose Adata has their reasons for offering just 7 years. Another point is why they’re marketed as used products initially. The XPG Core Reactor II VE was released in 2024 and is of decent quality—unless the seller has hidden issues. If you accept it, it might be faulty. Used PSUs, no matter how well built, are often seen as low-quality due to unclear histories and no warranty. It’s better to opt for a brand new PSU to protect your entire system, including your new RTX 3070. For gaming setups, a Tier A PSU is ideal.
