Hello everyone! I'm trying to figure out whether dual joysticks or hotas are better for Star Citizen, and I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks!

The dual joystick configuration is the most common choice. It seems rare to find people using pedal controls.

I set up an account just to confirm, yes. Pedals are handy in Star Citizen, particularly for players focused on PvP and without a dual joystick yet. They let you free up hand movements so you can focus on other actions. With only a few fingers, pedals help you handle more tasks at once. I really appreciate them and currently use a basic Logitech Rudder set. Most advanced PvP players rely on pedals even with other gear.

The typical peripheral configurations favored by top PvP competitors follow this sequence: 1. Dual joystick plus pedals 2. Left hand joystick with right hand mouse and pedals 3. Mouse, keyboard, and pedals. Some elite players even use unique setups such as a left hand keyboard and right hand mouse. A standout example includes someone using an Xbox controller. These choices largely depend on personal taste, though sticking to one of the three mentioned setups is usually reliable. Additionally, most high performers incorporate head-tracking devices like Tobii eye trackers or TrackIR.
