Hey there! I'm working on finding the optimal PPT, TDC, and EDC settings for a 65-watt Ryzen 5 3500X processor. I've experimented with many configurations using CB R23 and achieved a top score of 6519 with PPT 85, TDC 55, and EDC 80. I'm still getting the hang of it, especially since lower values like 88, 60, and 90 seemed to give better results. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

The optimal settings vary for each chip and setup. Your ideal values for the 5900X shifted after changing power supplies. Focus on EDC first. Determine the setting that maximizes performance while keeping PPT and TDC under 100%. Then fine-tune PPT to reach 100% at load and adjust TDC so all three metrics hit 100%.

They should make contact, depending on the load the CPU is handling. A heavy hit will easily affect it, while a lighter touch can still be effective. Finding the right balance is key—what suits one person might not work for another. The CPUs vary a lot, so consistency isn't guaranteed.

You're aiming to boost his computer's speed, but he mostly spends it playing games, watching videos, and streaming with friends. Essentially, you're suggesting he needs some extra processing power when things get busy, while still having enough capacity for normal use. I owned a 3600XT for a couple of months or so. I didn’t pay much attention to PBO, I wasn’t really into its approach. I concentrated on all the core clocks alongside the CPU. No PBO, no extra boosts, just one clock and one voltage. I managed to run it at 4400 with 1.2375 and 4500 with 1.3375. The 4500 didn’t perform well across all loads mainly due to the voltage constraints. 4400 worked fine for everything. I also ran my Le Grand Macho RT without a fan on that CPU at 4400—pretty impressive.

Yessir, Linpack Xtreme and everything else. 4500 was good for everything except Linpack.. she got warm with it. And its a lot of voltage for Zen2 imo. If it were me looking for a CPU, I would be looking at Zen3, any of them. I have a 5600X and it is a sweet little CPU. Its a good thing I didn't sell it, because I think I am going to sell my 5900X.
