Hello everyone, I'm using a Raspberry Pi with Raspbian as a PLEX server connected to an external HDD. I need to disable access from my Windows 10 PC so that TeamViewer can function there. I found some information about TeamViewer and a VNC option, but I'm unsure which one would work best. I also want to know how well TeamViewer will operate on the Pi, since I already use it for managing other computers to streamline my Windows setup. Thanks!

I’d suggest using VNC. It’s built-in and connects straight away. You don’t need a remote server such as TeamViewer. TeamViewer depends on your internet link, whereas VNC works directly between devices on the same local network.

Yes, it should work. Using your PC with an Ethernet cable and the Pi with Wi-Fi is a common setup. Let me know if you need more details!

VNC functions with any network link as long as they share the same subnet. It serves as a simple admin-level connection, not intended for browsing the web or other heavy tasks.

It's happening because the process is taking longer than expected. You're only needing basic setup, so it might not be optimized for heavy tasks.

VNC isn't ideal for real-time or fast-moving applications. It's meant to be reasonably functional for remote GUI management of servers without a display, but using a Pi for VNC and web browsing can overload the processor. I've been experimenting with a Pi for remote camera and servo control tasks, and any live video or interactive feed tends to drain the CPU quickly.

Thank you! The VNC Viewer is functioning well, sufficient for my requirements. Now I'm ready to install Deluge.
