Optimal memory setup for Zen 3.
Hey everyone, starting my first PC in seven years... a massive upgrade to a 5800X (what I could actually get). A full overhaul is underway. A few questions: GPU: to decide between a 3080 or a 6800XT? For 32GB RAM, should I use two 16GB sticks with Zen 3 or eight 4GB sticks? And does the clock speed of 3200 or 3600MHz really matter for regular tasks? MOBO: B550 Gigabyte Aorus PRO AC CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X Thanks a lot!

The 2x16GB configuration is likely dual-rank except for some recent dual-rank ballistix kits, which may be single-sided. I don’t know of any other kits that commonly use 16GB single-rank dimms. HardwareUnboxed confirmed the 3600C16 dual-rank 2x16GB model offers great value for the Zen 3.
adjust results slightly to ensure consistency across key areas, with minor variations expected.
