Hello! I'm looking into purchasing a Corsair Dominator 2666MHz quad memory set (CMD64GX4M4A2666C15) with 4 x 16GB. Could anyone confirm compatibility with your motherboard and CPU—Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5 rev 1.0 and Intel i7 5930K Haswell-E? Any advice would be appreciated.

Confirm X99 supports 16GB UDIMMs, though updating the BIOS is recommended to avoid early issues.

It accommodates up to 16GB per dimm. The board's QVL doesn't list this memory, but PCPartPicker users on X99 report no issues. Two additional Corsair Dominator configurations that matched their rated frequencies (2400Mhz and 2800Mhz) appear to function correctly.

I understand completely, but it’s smart to double-check first before moving forward... after all, more RAM doesn’t always solve everything—especially when you’re doing heavy tasks or gaming.
