Optimal configuration guide for Tenda Nova MW6
Hey everyone, I have two Tenda Nova MW6 units and a D-Link AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Router. My home is quite long, so I was trying to find the best setup for strong coverage. I placed the AC3200 in the center with Ethernet ports at each end. I was thinking about switching my MW6 units to Bridge Mode and turning off the router's Wi-Fi. Would that make sense? I’m concerned the middle of my house might be dead zone. Should I disable the router’s Wi-Fi when using the Novas? Before that, I used TP-link range extenders but found it annoying to switch networks on the go. Are there other ways to configure this network setup with these devices? Let me know!
If you don't try it, you won't understand. You can change your SSID to the same name, but it often doesn't work properly when the access point lacks a boost feature. For a mesh setup, simply put it in basic mode so the device can switch off from Wi-Fi and find a stronger signal from another access point.
