Hey there! In the past few days my PC fan was noisier than usual. I suspected it might be malware causing the CPU to run at higher loads, so I ran Malwarebytes and got a few quick results—nothing found. Then I tried a custom scan, which caught one detection. It showed up as an entry with an unknown ID, just remembering that the last address was linked to a malwarebytes crack. On my older machine it worked fine, but on this newer one it ran for two days before switching back to the free version. After quarantining it, the program said to restart and warned of an "American" error in red text near the top, suggesting CPU overload or overheating. I clicked F1 to open BIOS, found my ASUS UEFI settings under "System Performance," and saw "ASUS Optimal." It looks safe to proceed, but double-checking the BIOS is a good idea. Thanks for all the help!

Check the boot priority section and decide whether to click it or not.

In the ideal setting, the middle choice in EZ-mode works well for a mix of silence and speed. However, your CPU runs hot due to the current fan setting. Make sure the cooling solution is correct and installed properly.

I'll start by removing the dust and then place it back in its position.

I took care of the PC, reinstalled the cooler. No more notifications during startup. It started up really quickly, which is great. Here’s a screenshot from HWMonitor—looks good now?
