Optimal bios configurations for newcomers
Hello! I just set up an AMD system (switched from Intel) and am trying to figure out the best BIOS configurations for the Ryzen 3000 series. I want good performance for gaming while keeping things stable, without pushing the CPU over its limits. Sometimes the fans are getting noisier and temperatures rise to around 70°C on the specs listed. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 cooler with a 120MLR cooler, a B450M Mortar Max with 16GB RAM, a T-Force Delta SSD, a Cruxial MX SSD, a WD Green SSD, and an M.2 1TB drive. I’m using Seasonic M12 620W and 80+ Bronze. What settings would work best?
Turning off PBO is the main option. However, 70°C isn't a very high temperature, so it's better to see if adjusting the custom fan curve can reduce noise problems.
You're wondering about the PBO setting and its impact on performance. It helps optimize your graphics settings automatically, but disabling it might affect visual quality or frame rates depending on your hardware. PBO stands for Performance Mode, balancing speed and visual fidelity.
