It was just a test using the AT&T router. I reviewed some guides for Opnsense, but setting it up took me two days. My network knowledge is limited. Also, if you have any advice on learning more about networking would be helpful. I was trying both the public IP from the AT&T router with Opnsense and the WAN IP from Opnsense, but neither worked.

I don't have a reliable source to rely on. My expertise comes from 30 years of studying topics directly. It seems many sites struggle to explain things clearly in simple language. Are they different? I'm curious about how the ATT router operates in bridge mode, especially since it no longer receives public IPs from OPNsense. Where are you conducting these tests? As noted, you should use a separate connection for port forwarding verification. I typically connect via mobile/cell data. From the LAN side of OPNsense, the public IP doesn't appear to exist without NAT reflection, which isn't ideal for performance. Turning it on probably won't confirm if port forwarding works from the WAN side either.

Local checks and Cell Devices are covered. The issue is that true bridge mode isn’t available; that’s the main concern. I reached out to them, and they advised disabling packet filtering and enabling passthrough on my router for the Mac add-on of the device I need (such as the OPNsense box).

It seems like they're likely using a DMZ setup, which should still function. Have you attempted a port scan from the Internet? It might be simpler to connect the Minecraft machine directly to AT&T, then bridge the connection and check if the port appears as closed. Keep in mind that the firewall will likely switch to Public, so ensure the port is reopened on the PC.

Sorry to bring it up again, but have you ever managed to get it to function? I'm facing a similar issue too.
