I purchased Mad Max after reading many positive reviews on Steam and have spent about 10 hours playing so far. The game’s idea really caught my attention, but I think it’s limited by certain problems. For instance, some audio effects—especially the metal rolling sound—sound like they were recorded with a bad microphone in just two minutes. You can also notice audio loops when reversing in a car or during certain effects, and there are noticeable millisecond cuts that break immersion. The anti-aliasing is also poor, particularly during desert driving where jagged pebble textures appear instead of smooth ones. The lighting effects seem disorganized and the cut scenes feel unstable. I experienced the worst shimmering effect in the game for a while, and after hours of play I realized it was caused by low SSAO. While the design, combat, and car battles are strong, the overall experience feels weakened by these issues. Would you agree or strongly disagree with my feedback?

Use FXAA in your driver rather than the game's anti-aliasing settings—it might improve those rough textures. Audio spikes may indicate your CPU or sound card is struggling to keep up.

Forced the update via the panel and saw minor enhancements. This is the sole title with audio issues; all others are smooth.

I played 44 hours of this game. I faced several glitches—car sounds missing even when other audio stays. The car would jump up into the air, enemies stuck in mountains or floors, etc. If you pause to give water, you’ll hear an enemy car approach but can’t leave the cutscene; you’re forced to wait and risk being hit. Scarecrows appear on the map but aren’t visible in the sky. Holding a weapon while scraping often causes the subtitle to misinterpret your action. Overall, it’s a great game with lots of fun moments, though it isn’t as polished as some claim.

Mouse pointer shows up unexpectedly... during gameplay, you need to map it in or adjust its position to clear it. Sometimes pressing escape twice resolves the issue. It becomes annoying after a cutscene when the cursor reappears, and moving the mouse for camera causes it again.

Same issue again... these problems really mess up my experience. Plus, the menus keep freezing, especially when I'm in the garage.
