I wanted to ask your opinion on the OC I did on my Asus GTX 970 Strix. I used Asus GPU Tweak.
Here are my GPU Tweak settings:
-GPU Boost Clock: 1400
-Max GPU Voltage: 1200
-Memory Clock: 8000
-Power Target: 120
-GPU Temp Target: 80
Unigine Heaven 4.0 Settings and results
Settings:
Render: Direct3D11
Mode: 1920x1080 8xAA fullscreen
Preset: Custom
Quality: Ultra
Tessellation: Extreme
Results:
FPS: 61
Score: 1544
Min FPS: 25
Max FPS: 128
Please tell me if you need any more info. I just want to know if this is a safe overclock to run and how did I do for a first timer in overclocking
😀

The i5-4690K is performing well at 3.5Ghz. I haven't tested it with the current setup, but I have some Firestrike results to compare. This rating almost matches the GTX 960's performance for its price.

These figures are impressive. I haven’t used my i5-4690K (4.5 GHz) with the Evga GTX 970 (stock) for testing, and I don’t have that machine available right now. However, if you’d like, I can share some Firestrike results for comparison.
That performance nearly matches the GTX 960 in value.
I’d really appreciate seeing those Firestrike numbers.
Thanks

Keep in mind this setup uses an OC'd CPU paired with a standard graphics card.

Keep in mind this setup uses an OC'd CPU, but the stock graphics card is provided here. I tested Firestrike and achieved a score of 10351, which is better than 86% of all results. My next concern is how much the overclocked CPU (i5 4690k) affects these scores, and what overclocking adjustments would be needed. As a beginner in this area, your guidance is very helpful.

Remember, this setup uses an OC'd CPU with a stock graphics card: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5781191. I tested Firestrike and achieved a score of 10351, which is better than 86% of all results. My next concern is how much the overclocked i5-4690k affects these scores and what CPU overclock level would give noticeable improvement. As a beginner in overclocking, your guidance is very helpful.
