I tried a different setup with an i5 4790S and Windows 10 on an SSD. Everything worked initially. After updating drivers and restarting, I left the room for half an hour. When I returned, the system returned to the login screen but the mouse and keyboard stopped responding. The mouse wasn’t getting power because the red light was off. I restarted and reset BIOS to defaults. Now it works properly again. Still no changes in Windows. I installed a USB drive to reinstall the OS, but as soon as it loaded, the mouse and keyboard turned off. Confused about what to do next. The motherboard is an ASRock B95M-DGS.
