I recall from university days that CentOS served as the platform for students' programming labs. There were typically two login options: one to Windows Server Edition and another to Red Hat or CentOS. I frequently used school computers for assignments, completing Excel and Microsoft Office tasks on Windows Server while handling Java and other programming assignments on CentOS.

I really enjoy CentOS—it's so quick and straightforward. It was my first distro and it felt nostalgic. CentOS 7 was my top choice, those were great times.
