I possess a Sony DSC W550 purchased by my father around 2012. I explored options to use it as a webcam, connecting via USB and using MTProto/PTP, but no video appears in OBS. Have you considered software that can detect your camera and enable webcam access? I previously tried ImageEdge from Sony, which shows up remotely but lacks PC remote support.

MTP and PTP are communication standards for transferring files. To turn your camera into a webcam, it must support video output and you'll require a capture card.

It doesn’t seem to have a built-in webcam feature, and the only video feed comes from standard definition composite. You might want to use it with a capture card instead, or consider a newer webcam for better performance.
