OpenWRT
OpenWRT
Hello everyone, I set up OpenWRT on my new router and configured both LAN and wireless networks. The router connects to a DSL modem via 192.168.1.192 and uses that connection for internet access. Its LAN IP is 10.230.0.1, and devices get 10.230.0.X addresses when connected. I need a guest Wi-Fi network that can reach the internet but stays separate from the main network, using a different range like 10.0.0.1. Do I need to create a VLAN for this? I’m not very familiar with VLANs and my networking skills are average. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bruno.
Reviewed the OpenWRT guides for guest Wi-Fi setup. - https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/netw...guest-wlan - https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/netw...binterface
Certainly, during the guide, once the WLAN setup is done and a Network Interface is linked, the Guest Network Interface automatically appears, which is crucial.
