It's really interesting to see. Mark Shuttleworth talks about openstack using containers. Are you familiar with containers? It's quite a fresh topic for me.

I encountered LXC and Proxmox a while back, but they didn't seem to provide the same level of isolation as full virtualisation. Probably because marketing emphasizes established solutions; for example, Ubuntu makes up around 45% of Azure's servers.

Docker is widely adopted today. We implement it within our organization. No OpenStack required.
